The goal of this research topic is to explore the effectiveness and potential of VR-haptic technologies in dental education. While traditional hands-on training remains valuable, integrating VR-haptics can address challenges such as student anxiety, accessibility to practice, and standardized skill assessment.
This topic will also assess cost-effectiveness, implementation challenges, and how VR-haptic training compares to conventional methods. The findings can help educators, institutions, and developers optimize digital tools for dental training, ensuring they align with modern educational needs.
We are now inviting potential contributors to submit manuscript titles and abstracts for consideration to be forwarded to Frontiers in Oral Health for an issue.
